Preliminary Assessment – Bandelier National Monument

Pinyon was contracted by the National Park Service to prepare a Preliminary Assessment (PA) Report for the Bandelier National Monument, a 32,831-acre National Monument that contains one of the largest concentrations of pre-Hispanic archaeological sites in the American Southwest.

  • Reviewed historical documents and previous investigations to establish the Monument’s history.
  • Assessed the ecological and human health risk associated with historical dichlo-dephenyl-trichloroethane (DDT).
  • Prepared a PA Report under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
