Pinyon worked closely with agencies including USACE, USFWS, CPW, FEMA, FHWA, and CDOT to complete environmental evaluations for multiple transportation projects under provisions of NEPA. Our team prepared technical environmental reports (Categorical Exclusions and Environmental Assessments), permits (Section 404, Section 7, Section 106), and supported public involvement efforts. Technical services included habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species, wetland delineations, aquatic resource evaluations, hazardous materials assessments, and historic and archaeological surveys. Pinyon continues to provide restoration monitoring and reporting for previously permitted projects.

A notable achievement was developing a coordinated Section 404 permitting strategy with Boulder County and USACE, consolidating multiple projects into a single Pre-construction Notification to expedite approvals and keep projects on schedule.
