The Parker Midsection Pipeline Project (project) was required by Castle Rock Water/Town of Castle Rock to deliver Water Infrastructure and Supply Efficiency (WISE) water from the Parker Water & Sanitation District’s water distribution system to the Town’s water distribution system. The proposed approximately 2.5-mile, 42-inch-diameter pipeline will help to provide for the sustainable long-term water supply of the Town and the Dominion Water & Sanitation District.
Burns & McDonnell provided engineering design services for the project and retained Pinyon Environmental, Inc. (Pinyon) to provide environmental support. Pinyon’s scope of work included a biological resources assessment, including an assessment of habitat for federally listed species, migratory birds (including raptors), and state listed species; a delineation of waters and wetlands; a Jurisdictional Determination request to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE); and preparation of a non-notifying Nationwide 58 compliance memorandum.
