Pinyon, leading a multi-disciplinary team, is conducting the Watershed Plan Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA) for Lake Seventeen and Little Suction Creek in north-central Montana. Over the two-year timeline, Pinyon is working closely with the NRCS, Fort Belknap Indian Community, SWCA, Big Sky Public Relations, and Water Resources Solutions, gathering data through hydrologic and hydraulic studies, and developing and evaluating alternatives to conserve and improve fish and wildlife habitat, public recreation, and agricultural water management. Key deliverables include a detailed Plan-EA, with baseline documentation of the watershed’s resources and public engagement efforts, such as scoping meetings and coordination with local and Tribal stakeholders. Pinyon also led the development of a Public Participation Plan and led virtual and in-person scoping meetings.
