Pinyon is currently providing environmental support to four Natural Resources Conservation Service offices by developing and/or updating Wetlands Reserve Plan of Operations (WRPO) for property easements along the Front Range and in the San Luis Valley. Pinyon conducted desktop- and field-based environmental resource assessments for 36 wetland restoration easements that included mapping wetlands, property infrastructure, land uses, noxious weeds, and general wildlife habitat. Many of the easements include habitat for threatened, endangered, and special status species. For each of the 36 wetland restoration easements, Pinyon is preparing a WRPO that includes baseline conditions, a habitat restoration and enhancement plan, a five-year management plan, and an easement monitoring plan.
